The Smell of a Clean Home!

The smell of clean can be different for many people. For some, clean is the smell of the outdoors after a thunderstorm. For others, it’s associated with the smell of pine or clean air. The truth is, cleaning doesn’t actually have a smell.. I know crazy right?

The Smell of a Clean Home!

The smell of clean can be different for many people. For some, clean is the smell of the outdoors after a thunderstorm. For others, it’s associated with the smell of pine or clean air. The truth is, cleaning doesn’t actually have a smell.. I know crazy right?

What does it smell like?

The smell of clean is either chlorine bleach or nothing at all. Really what the smell of a clean home is, is fresh with chemical scents. Think about all the cleaning products you have stored in your home.. The harsh chemicals that you have are just not healthy for your family. It’s important to know what you are using to clean your home.

Helpful How-to's on Cleaning your Shower!

There are lots of cleaning agents out there that are green and earth conscious. Some alternative earth friendly cleaners that you might have around your home that you can use are: vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and rubbing alcohol.

One of my favourite things to do is add essential oils to these cleaners to help them smell a bit better. Some of the best essential oils to use in your cleaning solutions are: citrus, eucalyptus, peppermint, and tea tree oil.

An easy and great way to bring a fresh scent into your home is by buying some flowers! They smell great and add a simple touch to your home! I have so many favourite flowers. Daisies, hydrangeas, peonies, I just love flowers! I tend to fill my home with anything that is in season or on sale! Roses (not red), sunflowers, lily of the valley, I could go on forever!!
